Linda & Ryan : Wedding

WOW It's been a while since I've updated this thing! Working and schooling have really kept me busy. I haven't had much time for photography lately, which, in my opinion, is very sad indeed :( I do apologize for the fact that it's been THREE MONTHS since this beautiful wedding and I'm just now posting this! Anyway, back to the point. Linda and Ryan contacted me a while back to do their wedding for them. They both live in California and were getting married in Iowa, so most of their wedding planning was done via phone or internet, which I'm sure can be pretty frustrating! The time came and we headed out to beautiful, middle-of-nowhere-Iowa for their private wedding and amazingly gorgeous reception! I LOVED the scenery we had for the photos, and the subjects were pretty darn gorgeous themselves! Take a look!

this week's contest theme at iheartfaces is "Surprise". This photo was taken at my niece and nephew's birthday party last year. It makes me laugh every time I see it. My nephew blew out his candles before my niece and she was really really upset!

Jonathan + Becky

When photography first became a passion of mine, sure I had in mind that someday down the road I might start a little business doing portraits and family shots for people. But photographing weddings scared me. When Becky asked me to photograph her wedding for her, I was reluctant to say yes! Of course I LOVE taking and editing pictures and all, but there was this thought in the back of my head that weddings were way outta my league. Now, I can easily say weddings are by FAR my favorite! And I've only done two! I'm so happy with the results of my first wedding gig. I hope you find them enjoyable too!!!

The Hoskins Fam

I got a call from one Billie Jean Hoskins a while ago, wanting to set up a shoot. I recognized the last name but didn't realize until I got to the park that the Hoskins used to live a few streets away from my family, and we used to play with them when we were little. Billie and Steven have a son, Stevie, the adorable child in the pictures below. Samuel was there also, Steven's brother. We had a lovely time scouting Loose Park for some good spots. Little Stevie was soooo good! I think he only fussed like twice and stopped seconds later! I was blessed to be able to capture this beautiful family. Take a look at the photos below, and please pray for Stevie and his upcoming surgery.

Anna Burgen - Senior Photos

Wow, am I behind. Yes. I am. I am a busy girl. Someday I will be able to do photography full-time and finally get out of the restaurant business! Oh what a glorious day that will be! Anyway, I had a lovely lil time with Anna Burgen a while ago...heh. We had to cancel and postpone the photoshoot many many times due to weather and unexpected events, but we finally got around to it one beautiful saturday morning in downtown KC and Loose Park. It really was a gorgeous day. The sun was blocked by buildings and trees, but still visible in the pictures, so the lighting was great. Anna brought a ton of fun outfits. I think I ended up with about 1300 pictures that day...hah! But narrowed it down to about 200. Anyway, here are some of my favorites from the shoot! Tell me what you think!
